Kitco News speaks with TD Securities’ Bart Melek about the precious metals and to see which one he thinks will shine most this coming year. “Platinum and palladium are starting really to get noticed,” he says. “Palladium, in particular, has outperformed the vast majority of commodities in the world and I think the consensus seems to be that platinum will be the next to take off.” Looking over to gold, Melek says he still does not like the metal and wouldn’t be surprised to see it average around $1,200 during the next quarter.
