Montreux / Château Haut-Brion limited edition guitar cases unveiled within Claude’s unique collection.
1967, 1969, 1971 & 1991
Four defining Montreux Jazz Festival Vintages
After the appearance of the Western Pyrenees, at the end of the Tertiary era, a layer of debris, coaxed from the mountain by erosion spread itself over the foothills of this range. The streams and rivers were so powerful during this period that gravel and soil were carried and deposited in layers to the North….as far as the Gironde. Therefore this Gunzian gravel and future stratas of stones might indeed suggest that Rock and Roll was the foundation of the high shining mounds that came to be known as Haut-Brion!

Today, through our 4 limited edition Montreux guitar cases, it is a very different History that we celebrate. That of an extraordinary Swiss Music Festival created in 1967 by my friend Claude Nobs…in Montreux.
These guitar cases, designed by us for the opening of the Montreux Jazz Cafe in Harrods…and more specifically “Claude’s Collection” are witnesses of some of the finest vintages that have come to define the Montreux Jazz Festival and Claude’s life.
They are a reflection of an extraordinary story of vision, passion and friendships that have created and maintained the authenticity and soul of a unique Festival.
The Montreux Jazz Festival continues to grow from strength to strength as do its 5,000 hours + of film archives (currently being considered for an inclusion in the UNESCO International Memory of the World Register). These concert recordings can now be enjoyed exclusively through the Montreux Jazz Cafes…authentic and intimate environments for sharing your table with some of the greatest music legends of our time.
These stars have become as emblematic of the Festival as the shiny high mounds of Haut-Brion are essential to creating the unique blend of an extraordinary fine wine!
Cheers, Claude!
