Rite Aid (RAD) Appoints Everett to Lead Store Operations

Zacks

Rite Aid Corporation RAD has named Bryan Everett as executive vice president of the company’s store operations.

Effective Aug 3, Everett will oversee all operations of Rite Aid’s stores across the country and will report to Ken Martindale, Rite Aid’s President and Chief Operating Officer. The company currently operates about 4,600 stores across 31 states and the District of Columbia.

Prior to Everett, this position was held by Bob Thompson, whose retirement will be effective Jan 2016. However, till that time he will continue to work under Martindale on certain services to help enhance customer experience and support this leadership change. In his seven-year long tenure at Rite Aid, Thompson has contributed significantly to the company’s turnaround process, placing it well for long-term growth.

Nevertheless, Everett is also expected to benefit the company with his able leadership skills and profound experience. Flaunting a 20-year long experience in the field of store operations, Everett joined Target Corp. TGT in 2002, serving the company in several store operation roles. Most recently, he assumed the position of senior vice president of store operations, where he was mainly responsible for operational excellence, talent management and technology solutions, among other duties.

Apart from this, he has worked with Fleming Wholesale and ALDI Inc., assuming miscellaneous store operating management roles.

Everett also has to his credit a bachelor’s degree in corporate communications from Western Kentucky University along with a master’s degree in human resource development from Indiana State University.

We believe that Everett’s enriched knowledge and expertise will enable him to take Rite Aid forward on its path of achieving success.

Rite Aid, which trails only Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. WBA and CVS Caremark Corp. CVS in size, currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
