Pall Corporation PLL won a contract from Commercial Helicopters of Australia for installation of its newly designed PUREair Dry Barrier Filters in the latter’s fleet of Bell 206L and 407 Helicopters. The deal was signed at Helicopter Association International’s Heli-Expo in Orlando, FL.
Pall’s innovative product received impressive response at the Heli-Expo, with Commercial Helicopters of Australia being the first deal cracker. Moreover, with rising adaptation of Dry Barrier Filter technology among aerospace operators, Pall’s PUREair Dry Barrier Filter offering seems to be a strategic fit.
Notably, last month, Pall announced the FAA certification of PUREair Dry Barrier Filter, which is considered as a direct fit replacement for oil-wetted filters. The company has designed this improved filtration product for Bell 206L/407 and Airbus AS350 platforms.
The product is primarily meant for helicopters operating in harsh conditions or remote deserts, devoid of any oiling or cleaning facilities. Armed with advanced synthetic dry media technology, Pall’s Aerospace PUREair barrier filter can be cleaned with water only and is ready for instant re-use.
As a matter of fact, Pall makes significant investments in research projects and game-changing technologies in areas like electronics and biotechnology. In second-quarter fiscal 2015, Pall launched Coralon filter elements for hydraulic and lube oil applications (read more: Pall Brings Coralon Filter Elements, Upgrades Ultipor Range).
Going forward, we believe Pall will benefit from several secular trends, such as global infrastructure growth, higher demand for water filtration systems along with increasing government regulations, which will require increasing levels of filtration, separation and purification.
