Leading radio frequency solutions supplier Anadigics, Inc. (ANAD) has recently been shipping loads of production volume of various power amplifiers, developed under its patented InGaP-Plus technology, to several leading manufacturers and small product developers. The supply of these power amplifiers for multiple platforms is a testament to Anadigics' growing expertise in the rapidly expanding cellular and communications technology market.

Anadigics supplied AWL5905 and AWL5910 power amplifiers to a next-generation undisclosed communications technology company in North America to enable 802.11n and 802.11ac WiFi connectivity in customer premises equipment. These power amplifiers deliver a world class combination of gain and linearity to ensure reliable and faster Internet speed with increasing amount of data while simultaneously enabling reduction in power consumption.

Anadigics also shipped production volumes of its AWL9280 and AWL9580S WiFi front-end ICs (FEICs) to electronics major LG Electronics for its LG G3 Beat smartphone. The FEICs facilitate improved WiFi performance and integration in more compact designs, while simultaneously enabling longer battery life in comparison to other available variants in the market. These FEICs reduce the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) area of the smartphone, enabling LG to offer premium user experience in a sleek package.

The company added a new client to its already-long list of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and chipset partners, when it shipped production volumes of its AWB7122 and AWB7222 small-cell power amplifiers to Nextivity. This global provider of indoor coverage technology will utilize these power amplifiers for its Cel-Fi smart signal boosters.

Headquartered in Warren, NJ, Anadigics designs and manufactures semiconductor solutions for the broadband wireless and wireline communications markets. Its products include power amplifiers, tuner integrated circuits, active splitters, line amplifiers, and other components. These products are sold individually or packaged as integrated radio frequency (RF) and front end modules. In the wireless market, the company focuses on handsets and infrastructure equipment. In the broadband market, the company focuses on cable set-top box and other related equipment.

The continued shipment of production volumes for power amplifiers signifies the rapid strides in the technology sphere. These augur well for the overall benefit of the semiconductor industry that includes leading players like Ambarella, Inc. (AMBA), Avago Technologies Limited (AVGO) and Pericom Semiconductor Corp. (PSEM).
