DES MOINES, Iowa, Sept. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Fidelity & Guaranty Life (“FGL” or “the Company”, NYSE: FGL), a leading provider of indexed annuity and indexed universal life products, today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the Company to repurchase up to 500,000 shares of its common stock over the next twelve months.

Share repurchases, if any, are expected to be made from time-to-time at the Company’s discretion in the open market, in privately negotiated transactions or otherwise as permitted by securities laws and other legal requirements.
