Victory Energy Corporation Acquires SRV Prospect

Acquisition Represents Company’s First Internally Generated Prospect

PR Newswire

AUSTIN, Texas, June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Victory Energy Corporation (OTCQB: VYEY) through its partnership with Aurora Energy Partners, today announced the lease acquisition of mineral rights for 355 gross acres and its intentions to develop at least one 3D seismic controlled oil and gas prospect on the property. The SRV Prospect is a re-entry of a previously producing well named the Emma Hoyo No. 1 which was shut-in in 1965. The prospect is located in Starr-Lite field, 1/2 mile east of the town of Eagle Lake, Colorado County, Texas. The company holds a 50% working interest (40% net revenue interest) in the prospect and the 355 gross acres.

The target reservoir for the re-entry will be the Wilcox A-3. The top of the A-3 reservoir is at 9,545 feet in the Hoyo #1 which is the highest penetration of the five wells that have been drilled into that reservoir. The well has been tentatively scheduled for re-entry in the fourth quarter of 2012.

Volumetric calculations indicate that 1,500,000 MCF and 55,000 BO remain in the reservoir. The last reported test had a reservoir pressure of 1,913 psia or approximately 60% of original pressure. The company has estimated hydrocarbon recovery at 75,396 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) for this prospect.

Kenny Hill, Victory Energy’s CEO, stated, “This lease is Victory Energy Corporation’s first internally generated 3-D prospect and represents another milestone for the company. We have selected a known operator in the area that has extensive experience re-entering old well-bores. Additional prospect opportunities outside of this AMI have been identified and are being developed by Victory.”

The operator will be by Cago, Inc. of College Station, Texas. Cago operates over 400 wells in Texas and Oklahoma, and is also a 50% working interest partner in the well. Total re-entry and completion costs to the Company’s interest are expected to be approximately $150,000 through the first well.
